The purpose of student awards is to acknowledge and encourage student achievement in line with the goals and ideals of Integral Formation.

Students are awarded for achievement in all areas of formation. Awards reflect true achievement thereby motivating students to higher standards.

The principal, academic coordinators, formation instructors, and deans of students work together throughout the year to prepare the list of recommended award winners which is based on the students’ final grades and the criteria assigned to each award.

To receive any award, a student must have a final effort grade of very good or higher, a final conduct grade of satisfactory or higher (no out-of-school suspension or other grave infractions during the year), and at least an 80% record of attendance.  Exceptions are at the discretion of administration.

Awards are given at the end of the school year unless otherwise noted.  Note that academic awards (except Valedictorian and Salutatorian) are based on a numeric 100 point scale and are not based on weighted grades (e.g. AP courses which receive an extra .5 on the GPA). Awards can be found in the Parent-Student Handbook.
